Author Celebrates Book Launch - And 90th Birthday
author Michael Curtis celebrated his 90th birthday with the
launch of his latest book, Jews,
Antisemitism, and the Middle East.
This book ventures to rectify the misrepresentations, propaganda, obsessions, and falsifications widely disseminated in the media and public discourse, explaining the motivations behind them. The issues Michael Curtis scrutinizes are complicated and controversial, sometimes even baffling, but he reviews them in as objective and rigorous a manner as possible.
As Distinguished Professor Emeritus in political science at Rutgers University and the author of more than 35 books, Curtis has written widely in the fields of political theory, comparative government, the Middle East, and European politics, especially France. His contributions to the study of the history of French political thought and 20th century French politics have been particularly significant. From the very start, Curtis devoted a significant portion of his scholarly career to writing books about French intellectual history, focusing on the importance of that history to the development of political ideas in the rest of the world.
Professor Curtis launched his book at the Princeton Public Library on Wednesday, September 11 at 6:30 p.m., and on Tuesday, September 17 at The Center for Jewish History in New York City at 6:30 p.m.
