Transaction Chair’s Provocative Article in the Journal of Scholarly Publishing Irving Louis Horowitz, Chairman of the Board and Editorial Director of Transaction Publishers, has written a provocative article about the politics of scholarly publishing and the necessity of independent scholarly media. The article takes no prisoners, naming names and detailing instances where political pressure has influenced what did and did not get published, and by whom. Dr. Horowitz emphasizes the need for independent scholarly presses that can withstand political influence with courage. The article appears in the January 2010 issue of the Journal of Scholarly Publishing. Look for it! Win a free book from Transaction – just Stay connected, get rewarded.
