Street Children in Bangalore (India)

Description

Numerous studies have been written about street children. Many have addressed the problems of children in the street, both in the West and in the South. As a result, there are many pages full of descriptions of the living and working conditions of these children, their psychological and physical situations, their backgrounds, and the strategies they use to survive.

Patricia Nieuwenhuizen is a trained nurse and an anthropologist. She lives and works in Utrecht (the Netherlands) with Forum, Centre for multicultural development.
